Vihti or Vichtis in Swedish, is a small municipality located in the Uusimaa region of province of Southern Finland, approximately 50 km northwest of the capital city Helsinki. Its seat is Nummela. The population of Vihti is 26,427 (2006-12-31) and the town covers an area of 566.88 km² of which 44.91 km² is water. The population density is 50.63 inhabitants per km².
